A Tale of Princes, Poets, & PErsonal Interest

Cozy, whimsical, and so sweet it will make your teeth ache, A Tale of Princes, Poets, and Personal Interest aims to be your newest comfort read. It is a lighthearted story of growth, understanding, and finding love in unexpected places. Cherre is a dwarven princess who has put her passion for engineering before her duties as princess for her whole life, but she no longer has the luxury of messing around: her arranged marriage will be set in stone at the close of a year-long international summit. She concocts several schemes to get what she wants while keeping everyone happy. She hopes to uncover the secrets behind the fae's floating city so she can prove to her parents that her engineering is more useful than her mediocre leadership. When everything goes awry, she begrudgingly enlists the help of a fae poet to ignite the spark between her long-time-pining-but-destined-to-be-apart fiance and younger brother.===Princess Cherre has just one year left before she's doomed to eternal queendom via the actualization of her arranged marriage. She'd all but given up hope on pursuing her actual passion, engineering, until by a stroke of luck and a heavy dose of fae wine she overhears that her betrothed pines for her (notably much more qualified to lead) brother instead!Everything could be perfect... except she'd escaped her princessly duties by signing up for a special program, and her assigned host Custodian proves to be quite the problem. Instead of being the key to the secrets of the floating city of Fehrindel as she'd hoped, he is a simple bard. One that for some reason insists on actually doing his duty and taking up her time with useless lessons about fae culture. As time slips away, Cherre has nowhere to turn for help but the infuriating bard that won't leave her be. No better person to enlist to play matchmaker than a fanciful poet, after all.Mischief is made and shenanigans ensue as Cherre tries to juggle her love for her family, her duty to her people, and the happiness of herself.
